Our Story

It All Started With Our Favorite Chicken Soup Recipe!

Hi! We’re Michelle & Jake, the founders of Souper Cubes®.

In 2017, we were making chicken soup and had an idea that changed our lives forever. Whenever we made this recipe, we always ran into the same problem:

How do we freeze our chicken soup in a way that makes it easy to reheat later?

Thanks to Jake’s background in engineering, the answer to our problem was clear— Souper Cubes®!

Easy fix for a sweet treat

So easy to make cookies and then pull out 2-4 rather than baking and trying not to eat an entire batch.

    Dubai Chocolate pistachio truffles

I made Dubai chocolate pistachio truffles with ingredients from ALDIs and my local middle eastern market Grape Vine Market. You can make your own pistachio cream with 1 cup nuts, 1/4 cup powdered sugar, and 1/4 cup melted coconut oil in a food processor or Vitamix. You can make your own kataifi with thin flour and water batter in a ziplock bag and poke a tiny pin sized hole and make lines in circles in your pan (not touching) until hard enough to pick them up.

Boil or roast pistachio,Remove skin,Blend into paste,Add Powdered sugar, melted white chocolate, a bit of butter and some heavy cream

    Kataifi dough recipe

    Ingredients

    55 g (½ Cup) All-Purpose Flour

    40 g (¼ Cup) Cornstarch

    ½ tsp Kosher Salt

½ Tbsp Vegetable Oil (Canola and Rapeseed work as well)

    110 ml (110 g or ½ Cup) Water

    Recipe

In a large bowl, whisk the flour, cornstarch, and salt together. Add the oil and water then whisk again until no lumps remain.

Grease a flat pan or skillet with oil and place over medium-high heat.

Pour the batter into a pastry bag and cut a very small hole in the tip. (You can also use a Wilton #1 tip for this.)

Pipe the batter onto the pan by moving it back and forth creating zig-zags.

Laila’s Tip: Try to not overlap the batter, the thinner the batter lines the better the texture will be!

Remove the dough with a spatula once the batter starts to peel away from the pan.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all of the batter is used.
