How do Souper Cubes Work?

1. Fill Tray
Put your food into the Souper Cubes tray, hot or cold!
2. Freeze It
Place the lid on top of the Souper Cubes tray and store it in the freezer.
3. Reheat

It All Started With Our Favorite Chicken Soup Recipe!
Hi! We’re Michelle & Jake, the founders of Souper Cubes®.
In 2017, we were making chicken soup and had an idea that changed our lives forever. Whenever we made this recipe, we always ran into the same problem:

What are the trays made from?
Our Souper Cubes line of trays are made from 100% US FDA-food grade silicone. Our MyMilk line of trays are made from 100% pure platinum silicone. All of our trays are free of BPA, lead, PVC, and phthalates.
Can I put the trays in the dishwasher?
Yes, both the trays and lids are dishwasher safe. We recommend using the dishwasher (on a normal cycle) to clean your Souper Cubes trays and lids after each use. This is the best way to make sure your Souper Cubes are as clean as possible.
How long do they take to freeze?
It depends on the content and the temperature of the food that you’re freezing. However, most foods can take up to 24 hours to freeze. Foods with high water content tend to take longer to freeze than foods like mashed potatoes or rice.
How can I remove odor from the trays?
We have never had any residual smells or odors even though we’ve been using the same tray for over for several years to freeze foods with garlic, onions, tomatoes, ginger, cumin, and other spices/ingredients. We always recommend using a dishwasher to clean your Souper Cubes. If you do not have access to one, then clean with soap and hot water. Still have a slight smell in the trays? You can try a baking soda plus vinegar wash or baking your trays in a 300F oven for 30 minutes.
Can I use the trays for baby food and breast milk?
Make sure to sterilize your Souper Cubes before your first use. You can boil your Souper Cubes trays or use your dishwasher’s sterilization feature. Between each use, clean your Souper Cubes with soap and hot water.
How useful are the measurement fill lines?
The measurement markings are super useful for knowing just how much you’re freezing, making for perfectly portioned meals later.
Is there a trick to popping the frozen food out?
Let the frozen tray sit on your counter for 3-5 minutes, then simply push on the bottom.
Can I use the trays for commercial cooking?
Yes, several commercial kitchens including farms, commercial dairy companies, meal prep companies, and restaurants have used Souper Cubes for portioning stews and soups, packing butter, and more.

When I first saw Souper Cubes I thought, nah, my plastic containers and ice cube trays work just fine. Then I tried the one cup Souper Cubes. Game changer! I can now freeze homemade leftovers in uniform blocks that are easy to pop out of the trays and store easily. I’ve since added the 2-cup, 1/2 cup and 2 tbsp size plus baking trays. They make it easy to store leftovers and cut down on food waste, especially in our two-person household! These are excellent quality, wash up great and don’t stain or retain smells. I’m looking forward to using them to prep food for my daughter to have on hand when she has a baby in October.

I have always done a lot of bulk preparation and freezing of meals. I never thought at the age of 67 that I would find a better, more manageable tool for doing this. Having the different sized cubes for different food items is so helpful. The block shape is perfect for condensed storage in the freezer. The stability of the trays is fantastic and the lids are wonderful. The website has delicious recipes. I have already added two to our regular rotation. The icing on the cake is the casserole dishes that the 2-cup cubes fit right into for cooking. I no longer have to freeze meals in 8 x 8 dishes that take up more space and are more than one portion. I am so, so, so happy with these products. The cost reflects the quality! Worth every cent!

Love this tape. It's easy to tear and write-on. I use a sharpie, but a regular pen works as well. Helps me keep my souper cubes organized into the various grains I batch cook, or the breakfast bars for my husband and me (the recipes are a little different). Love my souper cubes, and these keep my freezer organized!
